Create a tranquil environment by curating a collection of art that personally resonates with you and promotes a sense of calm and harmony. Whether it's through nature-inspired images, minimalistic artwork, or abstract pieces, your art choices can transform your living space into a peaceful oasis.

To further enhance your tranquil atmosphere, consider incorporating soft textures and natural materials. Add plush blankets, velvety pillows, or a warm rug to create a cozy and inviting seating arrangement. Consider using natural materials like linen or cotton for upholstery or drapes to infuse a sense of earthy calmness.

Consider incorporating elements of nature to enhance the tranquility of your seating area. You can adorn the space with potted plants to bring a touch of greenery indoors or hang nature-inspired artwork on the walls. Additionally, playing soft, ambient nature sounds can further add to the soothing environment.

Sagebrush Memories  - The original painting is 8" x 11" and was printed with Sagebrush and watercolor on paper.

This painting was created in Dayton, Wyoming while I was an artist in resident at Tongue River Artist Residency, in August 2022.  The colors reflect the surrounding Bighorn Mountains with the soft, natural hues of the land. It is called "Sagebrush Memories" because every time I look at this I long to be there surrounded by the beauty, the colors, and the expanse of the west.

Wyoming and the Bighorn Mountains hold a special place in my heart because of the wonderful adventures we've had there with the best of friends.  We have backpacked to 14,000 ft. on Cloud Peak and have enjoyed many hikes and four-wheel rides through the beautiful terrain around Antelope Butte. We fell in love with Yellowstone National Park and the Absaroka Range and the ride down Beartooth Highway is magical.  I could go on…

Being chosen to participate in the Tongue River Artist in Residency was a wonderful opportunity for me to immerse myself in the beauty of the landscape and the sweet little town of Dayton, Wyoming.  This opportunity to create from the bounty of nature in a different environment was an exciting challenge and gave great results.  Not only did I experiment with leaves and plant materials that were new to me, I was able to spend time working on my process of eco-printing on fabric and developing new techniques. My work is definitely richer and has more depth because of this experience.

If you would like to collaborate on the placement of my art in your home please reach out.  I would love to work with you.
